[AI Evaluation Company Gentrace Shuts Down, Two Co-Founders Join Anthropic] According to a report by Jinse Finance, on April 27, Doug Safreno, co-founder and CEO of AI evaluation and observability tools company Gentrace, announced on X that he has joined Anthropic. Gentrace helped enterprises test and monitor the output quality of LLMs and had previously secured $8 million in Series A funding led by Matrix (total funding of $14 million) before shutting down at the end of last year. Safreno stated that co-founder and CTO Vivek Nair had already joined Anthropic earlier. Nair, along with a friend at Anthropic, Yongxing Deng, convinced him to follow suit, citing Anthropic's speed and values.
