Has everything on AAVE returned to normal?
Opened up the Core Market on the mainnet, and there’s both good news and bad news.
The good news is:
Aside from WETH, other assets like USDT, USDC, etc., now have relatively sufficient liquidity.
Check out the screenshot—USDT deposit APY has dropped from 13%+ a few days ago to the current 7.5%.
But the bad news remains:
WETH is still the last one standing with 100% utilization and only $33.77 in available withdrawal liquidity.
In other words, the WETH you’ve deposited on AAVE is still not withdrawable.
But don’t panic—once the project teams complete the process (proposal, voting, approval, execution) and inject liquidity into WETH, it’ll be fine.
How long will it take?
Hard to say. Maybe a week or two if we’re lucky.
And then?
Withdraw your WETH and get out of there ASAP.
What’s the lesson learned this time?
You can speculate on MEMEs on ETH, but when it comes to DeFi, better think twice.
Speculate on E-coins, but don’t park them in DeFi.
