[Succinct Launches iPhone App Zcam, Supporting Encryption Signature Verification for Photos and Videos]
Deep Tide TechFlow reports on April 24, according to Cointelegraph, cryptography company Succinct has launched the iPhone camera app Zcam, which can instantly perform encryption signatures while capturing photos and videos to verify content authenticity and reduce the risk of AI generation or tampering. The app hashes the original image data and uses keys generated within Apple Secure Enclave to sign it, then embeds the signature, shooting metadata, and authentication information into the file based on the C2PA standard. Succinct stated that Zcam can be used in scenarios such as journalism, insurance claims, and identity verification, but its SDK has not yet undergone auditing and is not ready for production environments.
