[National Intellectual Property Administration: AI, Chips, Brain-Computer Interfaces Included in 'Fast Protection' Channel] Golden Finance reports that on April 24, how should AI-generated content be protected? What should be done when chip layout designs face infringement? On April 24, at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office, Guo Wen, spokesperson for the National Intellectual Property Administration and Director of the Intellectual Property Protection Department, stated that efforts will be made in three areas—systems, services, and applications—to establish a 'protection network' for innovation in emerging fields. Guo Wen explained that having a system in place is not enough; it must also be accessible to innovators. The National Intellectual Property Administration has further optimized patent examination policies, offering multiple channels such as prioritized examination and expedited examination. As of now, a total of 890 goods and service items related to new industries and business models, such as big data and artificial intelligence, have been publicly disclosed, effectively addressing practical issues like the lack of corresponding items for trademark registration in emerging fields and unclear protection boundaries. What’s even more noteworthy is that 82 national-level intellectual property protection centers have been established across the country, covering cutting-edge directions and key areas such as artificial intelligence, integrated circuits, quantum technology, and brain-computer interfaces, effectively meeting the 'fast protection' needs of innovators.
