OpenAI Releases New Intelligent Model GPT-5.5

Foresight News reports that OpenAI has announced via a tweet that GPT-5.5 has been officially released. GPT-5.5 is specifically designed for real-world tasks and driving Agents, capable of understanding complex objectives, utilizing tools, reviewing its own work, and completing more tasks. OpenAI stated that GPT-5.5 achieves significant improvements across almost all evaluation metrics while maintaining reasoning speeds similar to GPT-5.4, particularly excelling in areas such as Agentic Coding, computer usage, knowledge work, and early-stage scientific research. Currently, GPT-5.5 is available in ChatGPT and Codex for Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users.
