[ether.fi: Completed Security Reinforcement for weETH Cross-Chain Bridge, Restricted LayerZero Multisig Permissions and Increased DVN Threshold] ether.fi posted on the X platform stating that the team has completed protocol-level security reinforcements for the weETH cross-chain bridge on most deployed chains, with no vulnerabilities detected. This proactive measure eliminates potential risks and ensures that all security-related bridge parameters are fully controlled by ether.fi. Specific changes include: locking the LayerZero send/receive message library, locking the DVN set and increasing the threshold to 4/4, and tightening the paired rate limits on the bridge contracts owned by ether.fi. After these changes, LayerZero's multisig can no longer modify the weETH bridge configuration on-chain, and each inbound message must be verified by all 4 DVNs. Next, ether.fi will evaluate introducing a second independent cross-chain stack outside of LayerZero and conduct a systematic risk assessment for each chain where weETH is deployed.
