[US Media: If Ceasefire Breaks, US Military Plans to Intensify Strikes on Iranian Coastal Targets]
According to a report by Jinse Finance on April 24, citing multiple informed sources via CNN, US military officials are formulating new plans to strike Iran's military capabilities in the Strait of Hormuz should the current ceasefire agreement with Iran collapse. Sources indicate that among the various target options under consideration, there is a particular focus on 'dynamic strikes' against Iran's capabilities around the Strait of Hormuz, the southern Persian Gulf, and the Gulf of Oman. Potential targets may include small fast-attack boats, mine-laying vessels, and other asymmetric assets. These assets enable Iran to effectively blockade the Strait of Hormuz. Although the US military has already targeted the Iranian navy, most of the key targets bombed in the first month were far from the strait. The new plan calls for more concentrated bombing operations around the strategic waterway.
