[Singapore Jeweler Mustafa Gold Partners with FundBridge and Libeara to Launch Yield-Generating Gold Token]
According to Bloomberg, Singapore jeweler Mustafa Gold has partnered with asset management firm FundBridge Capital and tokenization platform Libeara to launch a digital token, MG999, that tracks gold prices and provides investors with yield-bearing gold exposure. FundBridge raises funds by selling the tokens, which are loaned to Mustafa in gold terms. Mustafa pays 2.5% interest to purchase physical gold and produce jewelry. After deducting management fees, investors can earn a 1% yield. Unlike traditional gold ETFs or futures products, this token directly offers positive returns. FundBridge stated that the loans are denominated in gold rather than cash, meaning that when gold prices rise, Mustafa's repayment obligations and inventory value increase simultaneously, and when prices fall, they decrease in tandem, helping to stabilize profit margins.
