This change will allow the average American to have access via their 401k to things like: direct investment in precious metals, real estate, and other types of investments the wealthy use. Opponents claims these things are "too risky" for a private individual to invest in. But that is ridiculous. They have access to most of those same investments with their rollover IRA or Roth IRA.
