[Another Armed Home Invasion and Kidnapping Incident Targeting a Crypto-Holding Family in France, Forced to Transfer Approximately $820,000]
On Monday, a family in the small town of Ploudalmézeau, Brittany, France, was invaded by two armed and masked men. After three adults were tied up on the ground for over three hours, they were forced to transfer approximately €700,000 (around $820,000) in crypto assets to a wallet controlled by the perpetrators. The suspects then fled by car, which was later found by police in Brest. No arrests have been made so far. Reports indicate that since the beginning of this year, French judicial police have recorded over 40 cases of kidnappings or robberies related to cryptocurrency, surpassing the approximately 30 cases in 2025. These incidents include attempted kidnappings or invasions targeting streamer TeufeurS's family, Binance France head David Princay, and a female judge.
