[ZachXBT Questions Bitcoin Depot ATM's High Premiums] According to a post by ZachXBT, users are advised against using Bitcoin Depot's Bitcoin ATM services, as he questions a recent incident where an elderly fraud victim in the U.S. was allowed to exchange $25,000 in fiat currency for BTC via the ATM. ZachXBT stated that the victim was quoted a price of $108,000 per BTC, while the market price at the time was approximately $75,000. As a result, the $25,000 only converted to 0.232 BTC, with an actual value of around $17,500. He also mentioned that Bitcoin Depot was recently exploited, resulting in a loss of $3.26 million, equivalent to approximately 54 BTC, which went unnoticed for several days.
