[Institution: U.S.-Iran Conflict Appears to Have Shifted to a Prolonged Stalemate] According to a report by Jinse Finance on April 22, Mitsubishi UFJ analyst Lloyd Chan stated in a research report that the U.S.-Iran conflict seems to have transitioned into a prolonged stalemate rather than a swift resolution. The senior currency analyst noted that the U.S. appears to be leveraging the blockade of Iranian ports to pressure Tehran into reaching a peace agreement, or else risk further military escalation. Chan remarked: 'For the market, this environment implies that energy transportation through the Strait of Hormuz will continue to face disruptions.' The analyst added that the pressure points are more evident in currencies with high oil sensitivity, including the Philippine peso and the Thai baht. (Jin10)
