According to Cointelegraph, (((Blockchain.com))) has introduced a perpetual contract trading feature in its self-custody DeFi wallet, allowing users to directly use self-custodied Bitcoin as collateral to open leveraged positions without transferring funds to an exchange. This feature is routed through the decentralized derivatives exchange Hyperliquid, supporting over 190 crypto markets with up to 40x leverage. During trade execution, assets remain in the wallet, and users do not need to relinquish private key control or rely on custodial intermediaries. (((Blockchain.com))) stated that the product also supports direct single-transaction deposits of Bitcoin from the user's wallet without the need for cross-platform conversion or transfer. The company anticipates expanding to more asset classes in the future, including forex, stocks, and commodities.
