According to encryption law firm Burwick Law, a federal class action lawsuit has been filed in the Southern District Court of New York against the creators of AI16Z and ELIZAOS, accusing them of violating consumer protection laws, false advertising, and unjust enrichment. The defendant is accused of misappropriating the Andreessen Horowitz brand reputation, fabricating the image of an AI startup, and issuing AI16Z token (later renamed ELIZAOS) on the Solana blockchain on October 24, 2024. On January 2, 2025, the price of the token reached a high of $2.47, with a market value of over $2.6 billion, but it collapsed due to large investors reducing their holdings. On chain data shows that the highest profitable individual earned approximately $390 million. When the token is migrated to ELIZAOS, the supply is increased by 10 times, with 40% allocated to internal personnel. At present, DAXA member exchanges in South Korea have included it in the "trading warning" list, and Coinbase has suspended its perpetual contract trading.
