In 2020, Antonio Senatore was Global CTO for Blockchain at Deloitte.
The world looked very different back then.
GPT-3 had just been released and almost nobody outside of research labs was paying attention. "Blockchain" was either a buzzword or a punchline, depending on who you asked.
And yet, on Anthony Day✌🏽's podcast that year, Antonio said something that reads like VeChain's roadmap for 2026:
"You have two problems. One is the data that was fed to the AI, whether it is trusted or not, where is it coming from? Is it coming from a trusted source? And then the AI itself... how do you rely on that AI?"
He was talking about infrastructure.
Fast forward to today. Antonio is VeChain's CTO. And we just announced our next chapter: an Agent Marketplace built on a decade of real-world verification infrastructure; the exact trust layer he described needing, back when AI agents were still science fiction.
The question Antonio asked in 2020 is now the question the entire industry is asking: How do you trust an AI agent you've never met?
The answer hasn't changed. But the urgency has.(VeChain)
