Following last week's House resignations by Reps. Tony Gonzales (R-TX) and Eric Swalwell (D-CA) over sexual misconduct allegations, the House Ethics Committee today released a statement that there should "zero tolerance for sexual misconduct, harassment, or discrimination in the halls of Congress, or in any employment setting" and that the "cmte. strongly encourages anyone who may have experienced sexual misconduct by a House Member or staffer, or who has knowledge of such conduct, to contact" them or other Capitol Hill workplace rights offices.(Craig Caplan)
