Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on April 20, according to CCTV News, the Supreme People's Court released the report titled *Judicial Protection of Intellectual Property Rights in Chinese Courts*, providing a comprehensive overview of the overall situation of intellectual property judicial protection work by the people's courts in 2025. In 2025, the people's courts accepted 552,600 new intellectual property cases and concluded 539,600 cases. The courts have strengthened intellectual property trials in emerging fields, properly handling civil cases involving AI-generated content, AI model parameters, and other cutting-edge issues. They also concluded 908 cases related to data ownership and transactions, representing a year-on-year increase of 25.6%. The Supreme People's Court is actively drafting opinions on properly handling AI-related disputes in accordance with the law, striving to promote the healthy and orderly development of artificial intelligence in a beneficial, safe, and fair direction. In 2025, the people's courts accepted 11,066 new first-instance foreign-related intellectual property cases, a year-on-year increase of 34.1%.
