From Aave's post, it seems like they're leaning towards shifting the losses onto rsETH on L2, but there's no umbrella insurance on L2.
If that's the case, the L2 market would basically collapse. Not sure if this will impact other projects and then further spread the risk.
In the end, it all comes down to who takes the hit financially. If we really divide responsibility, it would be KelpDAO > LayerZero > Aave, but the ones most affected are Aave's users who are stuck...
The chances of recovering the funds are slim. If they can recover them, that would be ideal. If not, the best solution would be for all three parties to chip in, restore all protocols to normal operation, and prevent the risk from spreading further. Hope everyone can pull through this.
