[UAE Claims Over 2,800 Attacks by Iran in 40 Days, Over 90% Targeting Civilian Infrastructure]
BlockBeats News, April 20: According to a report by Politico, the UAE Minister of State stated on Sunday that in the first 40 days of the U.S. and Israel's conflict with Iran, the country had suffered over 2,800 missile and drone attacks, adding that more than 90% of the targets were civilian infrastructure.
UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem Al Hashimy said on Sunday morning local time that Iran is attempting to destroy the UAE's "model of prosperity and tolerance." When asked whether she agreed with Trump's assessment that the Iranian regime had undergone a change, Al Hashimy expressed skepticism about any substantive changes in Iran's leadership.
"I know there have been personnel changes. There are different individuals in power now," she said. "But how does this change the nature of the Revolutionary Guard? That remains to be seen—and so far, it doesn't look very optimistic." When asked if she was concerned about Trump's threats, Al Hashimy stated that the UAE believes "maximum pressure" is necessary to make progress, while also warning against attacks on civilians.
