We both know @Timodc, from living in places that allow new units, that a couple of penthouses are not the problem...
The problem is the inability to build new units in Democrat-led cities... SF, LA and NY, it's the same story: NIMBY liberals blocking new units.
All units create supply
Adding supply solves demand
In Austin, the population has doubled over the past two decades... and rents have dropped for four years in a row -- because we've built new units everywhere.
NYC is a tiny island, but you can build in the boroughs, which are easily accessible by mass transit.(@jason)
