The value of Apple Mac is constantly increasing.
OpenAI has fully upgraded Codex to benchmark against Claude Code, allowing it to not only help you write code and generate content, but also automate tasks directly on your Mac or Apple computer.
It can now browse the screen, click the mouse, type on Mac, and operate various applications like a real person, without the need for APIs.
This means that things like collecting content and debugging data can run on their own in the background.
At the same time, Codex also integrates an image generation model, which enhances its image capabilities. Now it is possible to generate and modify images directly in the same process, without the need for cutting tools or creating separate API keys.
In terms of automation, Codex supports continuous execution of tasks within the same thread, such as remembering the current context, continuing to work within the same thread, and scheduling future tasks. Such as continuously running processes, helping you follow up, or regularly handling some repetitive work.
The above update started on Thursday and is gradually being pushed to Codex desktop application users, only supporting Apple Mac.
