Holy crap! Musk’s brain-machine interface still requires brain surgery, but now regular folks can just take off!
Sabi’s hats are insane—put one on, and you can type or control a computer with just your thoughts!
World’s largest neural model + custom chip = maximum future vibes.
Non-invasive brain-computer interface (BCI) startup Sabi just came out of stealth mode, announcing brain-control devices disguised as baseball caps and beanies, with early access now open.
Sabi’s core product avoids the traditional invasive surgery route.
On the hardware side, the device integrates high-density EEG sensors and custom ASIC biochips into everyday hats.
On the software side, the company claims it trained its Brain Foundation Model using the world’s largest neural dataset. The system primarily captures users’ internal speech signals and converts them into text input and click commands on devices.
Compared to medical-grade devices like Neuralink, which require brain surgery to implant electrodes, Sabi’s non-invasive approach significantly lowers the barrier for consumer use and regulatory risks. However, it also faces physical challenges like signal attenuation and noise interference due to the skull barrier.
This trade-off between signal fidelity and everyday wearability is the key technical challenge currently facing the consumer-grade BCI space.
