[Russian Official: Russia Has the Right to Self-Defense if Ukrainian Drones 'Pass Through' NATO Airspace]
According to a report by Jinse Finance on April 16, Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Russian Security Council, stated that incidents of Ukrainian drones 'passing through' the airspace of Finland and Baltic states to attack Russia are 'increasingly frequent.' Patrushev remarked that either Western air defense systems are 'extremely inefficient,' or these countries are deliberately opening their airspace, 'which would openly make them accomplices to aggression against Russia.' He further emphasized that in the latter case, Article 51 of the United Nations Charter would apply, granting a state the inalienable right to self-defense in the event of an armed attack.
