Together with President @AlarKaris, we inspected the construction of Rail Baltica from a helicopter. Despite the project’s complexity, our countries attach the highest priority to its implementation and seek for solutions to accelerate it - to have a fully operational Rail Baltica connection between the Baltic States and the rest of Europe as soon as possible. We underline the strategic and dual-use role of Rail Baltica for the economic development and security of the Baltic region. Therefore, we stress the critical importance of completing Rail Baltica by 2030 and working together to secure the necessary EU funding in the next MFF.(Gitanas Nausėda)
