[Russian Foreign Minister Says Hormuz Strait Crisis Originates from 'Unprovoked Aggression Against Iran by the U.S. and Israel']
Reported by Jinse Finance, on April 16, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs website released a statement on the 15th saying that Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov stated that the energy crisis caused by the blockade of the Hormuz Strait originated from 'unprovoked aggression against Iran by the United States and Israel.' Lavrov noted that prior to the attack on Iran, the Hormuz Strait was not blocked, and the transportation of goods was not disrupted. Now, all of this faces significant danger, stemming from the aggression against Iran by the U.S. and Israel. The underlying reasons, he said, are 'Israel's obsession with eliminating Iran and the U.S.'s prioritization of the oil market.'
He further stated that in response to the issue of obstructed oil and gas resource transportation caused by the blockade of the Hormuz Strait, Russia is undoubtedly capable of helping 'countries that cooperate with Russia on the basis of equality and mutual benefit' to fill the energy supply gap.
