Security Reminder: Update iOS to protect your iPhone from web-based attacks
Security researchers have discovered recent web-based attacks. If users are running older versions of iOS and click on malicious links or visit compromised websites, their iPhone data could be at risk of theft.
This vulnerability is not related to any exchange or wallet but is a security issue at the iOS operating system level. If your iPhone software is always up to date, you’re already protected.
If your iPhone is running an older version of iOS, take the following steps immediately to safeguard your data:
1. Update to the latest iOS 26, which includes the strongest security protections.
2. The Apple Safe Browsing feature in Safari is enabled by default and can block malicious URL domains identified in attacks.
3. Avoid clicking on unknown links or visiting unfamiliar websites.
As an industry participant, OKX feels a responsibility to disclose potential threats to all users. Every user’s asset security deserves to be taken seriously.
