[Iranian Official Says the U.S. Is Not Negotiating in Good Faith] BlockBeats News, April 13, according to CCTV International reports, Ibrahim Azizi, head of the Iranian Parliament's National Security Committee, stated in an interview on April 12 local time that during the talks held in Islamabad, Pakistan, on April 11-12, the Americans were not engaging in sincere negotiations. Instead, the U.S. attempted to use negotiations as a cover, employing diplomatic rhetoric to impose its will on Iran. Azizi said that Iran approached the U.S. with distrust, firmly safeguarding the interests of the Iranian people on issues such as the nuclear program, the Strait of Hormuz, lifting sanctions, and seeking compensation. When the U.S. saw Iran's determination, they backed down.
