The once top-tier project Dot @Polkadot got hacked.
Hackers exploited a vulnerability in the Hyperbridge cross-chain gateway,
minting 1 billion DOT on the Ethereum chain,
with a nominal value of about $1 billion USD.
The funny part? Due to liquidity issues,
even after selling everything, they only got 108.2 ETH in return,
worth around $237,000.
