The U.S. Central Command announced that starting April 13 at 10 AM Eastern Time, it will enforce a blockade on all maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports, in accordance with the presidential proclamation. Previously, Trump stated that due to the failure to reach a peace agreement during prolonged talks between the U.S. and Iran in Pakistan, the U.S. would block the Strait of Hormuz. This blockade will apply to all vessels entering and exiting Iranian ports and coastal areas, regardless of nationality, covering Iranian ports in the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.
