The negotiations in Pakistan between the USA and Iran were doomed before they started. The two sides are not even remotely on the same page in terms of how to get this resolved. They are not just a little bit apart. They are fully in different dimensions. So why are they bothering to negotiate? They had to go through the show in order to get to the next phase. Now Trump will launch a total naval blockade on Iran. All of the oil tankers that were heading to China will be stopped. Trump is going to make China and Europe feel the pain of energy prices. I expect the bombing to resume and more Iranian leaders to be killed. He will simply keep eliminating their leadership until they get someone in charge of Iran that they can work with.
