According to the *Bangkok Post*, Thai police have arrested a German hacker who is facing a total of 74 cybercrime-related warrants from Germany and the EU. Public summaries reveal the case involves ransomware, hacking attacks, and offering DDoS-for-hire and 'Cybercrime-as-a-Service' models to global clients. These platforms allowed customers to launch DDoS attacks worldwide, causing victims' computer systems and websites to crash and become inaccessible. The associated ransom payments were made in cryptocurrency and other digital currencies, classifying it as transnational cybercrime.
Other Thai media reports indicate the suspect is a 26-year-old German citizen who had previously operated in Dubai and China before being arrested at a luxury apartment in Bangkok's Thonglor area.
