[Bank of America: Middle East Impact is Broad but Uneven]
According to a report by Golden Finance on April 12, Bank of America stated in a research note on Friday that the U.S. has lowered its growth forecast for this year by 50 basis points to 2.3%, with the direct impact of the war accounting for about three-quarters of the revision. The overall upward revision of inflation is 70 basis points, and it is now expected that by the end of 2026, core PCE will be 30 basis points higher than previously forecast, reaching 3.1%.
As for the Eurozone, the bank has lowered its growth forecast by 60 basis points and raised its inflation forecast by 160 basis points to 3.3%, with core inflation at 2.3%.
