Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei, in an interview with Iranian media, stated that Iran and the U.S. have 'reached an understanding on some issues,' but there are 'differences of opinion on two to three key issues.'
'These negotiations took place after enduring 40 days of imposed war and were conducted in an atmosphere full of distrust and suspicion. From the very beginning, we shouldn't have expected to reach an agreement in just one meeting—this is completely natural,' he said. 'No one thinks otherwise.'
