Genius Season 1 Airdrop Allocation of 70 Million GENIUS Tokens, Immediate Claim Will Result in 70% Burn

Foresight News reports that Genius, a Perp DEX trading terminal supported by YZi Labs, has disclosed details of its Season 1 airdrop event, with a total allocation of 70 million GENIUS tokens. Users can choose between two claim options: if they opt for immediate claim within the 7-day claim window, they will face a 70% automatic burn penalty, meaning they will only receive 30% of the allocated amount, while the remaining 70% will be permanently burned. Alternatively, if users choose not to take any action, the token allocation will be locked in a smart contract for one year, after which they can claim 100% of the allocated amount. Genius stated that this mechanism is designed to attract community members with long-term alignment and prevent short-term speculative behavior.
