Why did crypto go up these past couple of days?
1: The main reason—ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran
The risk of war in the Middle East suddenly dropped a lot, oil prices plummeted, and everyone’s mood improved. People are more willing to buy risk assets, so Bitcoin shot up from its low point to over $72k.
2: Short sellers got wrecked
A lot of people were betting on the price dropping, but when the ceasefire news came out, they suffered huge losses and were forced to close their positions, which pushed the price even higher.
3: Big institutions are buying
Money keeps flowing into Bitcoin ETFs, and big companies like MicroStrategy are still buying. This gave the market a confidence boost.
4: U.S. stocks are rallying too
U.S. stocks, especially tech stocks, rebounded. Crypto and U.S. stocks are both risk assets, so when one does well, the other tends to follow.
In summary, the ceasefire gave everyone a breather, risk appetite is back, and institutions plus short squeezes helped push things up. But the ceasefire isn’t super stable yet, so in the short term, prices might still dip.
