But the opportunities for regular people are decreasing—gone are the days when a single chance could lead to a leap in social class, or the wild growth phase with those get-rich-quick opportunities. So from an individual perspective, opportunities are getting fewer and fewer. The industry will remain, but it’s got nothing to do with ordinary people anymore.
