[Arizona Halts Hearing Procedures for Kalshi] On April 11, U.S. Federal District Court Judge Michael Liburdi in Arizona ruled to temporarily prohibit the state from taking criminal or civil enforcement actions against the prediction market platform Kalshi under state law and halted the hearing originally scheduled for April 13. The ruling was in response to a motion filed by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). In the temporary restraining order, the judge stated that the Arizona state government must not enforce state-level gambling laws on contracts listed on contract markets regulated by the CFTC.
