The two biggest variables to watch tonight and this weekend:
1. U.S. March CPI
2. Weekend U.S.-Iran negotiations/Hormuz passage updates
These two variables will directly determine:
1. Whether gold continues the 'safe haven + weaker dollar' logic
or gets pressured by 'high inflation = higher rates for longer';
2. Whether crude oil continues to pull back to digest ceasefire expectations
or shifts back to supply disruption risks.
