Using Daniel Kahneman's *Thinking, Fast and Slow* to draw an analogy between the AI paradigm of large models and the Satoshi Nakamoto paradigm of Bitcoin. The large model AI paradigm is like fast thinking—a bunch of deterministic small programs that execute automatically. These are programs pre-trained and summarized by humans using slow thinking, then handed over to the large model, which acts as the fast thinking. The Satoshi Nakamoto paradigm of Bitcoin is more like slow thinking. It’s an abstract organizational rule designed to address uncertain problems, requiring real-time attention and focus, just like slow thinking, to navigate an environment full of uncertainties.
