[Independent Miner Mines Bitcoin Block with Just 70TH Hashrate, Earns 3.128 BTC Reward in 'Once-in-300-Years' Probability Event] Odaily Planet Daily News: An independent Bitcoin miner successfully mined a Bitcoin block with an extremely low probability earlier on Thursday, earning the full block subsidy and transaction fee rewards. Data from the block explorer Mempool shows that the miner used CKpool's solo mining software to mine block #944,306, receiving a total of 3.128 BTC (approximately $222,012). This includes a block subsidy of 3.125 BTC (approximately $221,800) and transaction fees of 0.003 BTC (approximately $212). CKpool developer Con Kolivas posted on the X platform: "Congratulations to this miner for mining the 313th solo block with just 70TH hashrate. The probability of a miner of this scale mining a block each day is roughly one in 100,000, meaning such an event would occur on average once every 300 years." (The Block)
