[Monad Foundation Launches Dedicated Signing Device Subsidy Program for Protocol Teams with Platform TVL Over $2.5 Million]
TechFlow News, April 9th: According to official information from Monad Foundation, the organization has announced the launch of a dedicated device subsidy program (MF Security Initiative). This program will provide subsidies for dedicated signing laptops to protocol teams on Monad with a total value locked (TVL) of no less than $2.5 million. These devices are intended for use in multisig operations, treasury management, and other critical activities.
Monad Foundation highlighted that several major security incidents in the DeFi space could have been avoided through the use of dedicated devices. Computers used for daily activities, such as browsing, programming, instant messaging, and video conferencing, carry ongoing security risks. If compromised, attackers can manipulate the transaction details, hash values, and confirmation processes visible to users, rendering verification ineffective. While hardware wallets are essential, they cannot fully prevent attacks if the host machine has already been compromised, as attackers can alter signing payloads or inject fraudulent hashes.
Eligible protocol teams must complete the required security training and standard KYC processes to apply for the subsidy. Interested projects can send an email to secteam@monad.foundation or contact Monad Foundation through existing communication channels.
