‘Investing is an intellectual game.’ I didn’t fully understand this before. Buffett once said that the joy of investing comes from the game itself, not from how much money you make. But through recent in-depth research, I’ve started to feel a different kind of happiness compared to the short-term thrill of ‘making money instantly’—a kind of intellectual pleasure. It’s about knowing how much I’ll make, when I’ll make it, and in which field I’ll make it. That’s fascinating. This is just how I am—whenever I enter a field, I aim to become the best. What could be more satisfying than that? Most of the time, I’m humble, but deep down, my pride and arrogance are still my core traits—sigh. When I was 10, my grandfather complained to my mom about how unbearably proud I was. So many years have passed, and here I am, on a morning like this, once again declaring my triumph with such self-satisfaction. It’s amusing, really.
