[U.S. Government Reportedly Considering Withdrawal of Military Deployments from Certain NATO Countries]
According to a report by Jinse Finance on April 9, government officials revealed that the Trump administration is considering drafting a plan to "punish" certain NATO countries that failed to provide substantial assistance to the U.S. and Israel during actions against Iran. Under this plan, U.S. troops would be withdrawn from these NATO countries and redeployed to nations that have shown stronger support for U.S. military operations. It is reported that this plan has been circulating among senior government officials in recent weeks and has gained some support. Currently, it is still in the early conceptual stages and is one of several "punishment" measures against NATO being explored by the White House. According to two government officials, in addition to redeploying forces, the plan may also involve closing at least one U.S. military base located in a European country. (CCTV News)
