Iranian Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf Issues Statement
The Islamic Republic of Iran's 10-point proposal is a 'practical basis for negotiations' and serves as the main framework for talks.
However, so far, three provisions within this proposal have already been violated:
1. Failure to comply with the first point of the 10-point proposal regarding a ceasefire in Lebanon. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had explicitly mentioned and announced this commitment for an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire, including Lebanon and other regions, to take effect immediately.
2. An invading drone entered Iranian airspace and was shot down in the city of Lar, Fars Province, which clearly violates the clause prohibiting any further infringement of Iranian airspace.
3. Denial of Iran's right to uranium enrichment, which is included in the sixth point of the framework.
Now, even the basis for negotiations has been openly and explicitly violated before talks have even begun.
Under such circumstances, a bilateral ceasefire or negotiations are unreasonable.
