According to the *San Francisco Chronicle*, U.S. police have arrested and charged three suspects involved in targeting crypto asset holders with so-called 'wrench attacks.' The group infiltrated delivery accounts like DoorDash and Uber Eats, tracked victims' daily routines over time, and disguised themselves as food delivery workers or America Express couriers to carry out armed robberies at victims' homes.
In November last year, a San Francisco victim was tied up with tape, beaten with a gunstock, and threatened with having their fingers cut off, ultimately losing approximately $10 million in $BTC and $3 million in $ETH, totaling around $13 million. Police believe the group is also connected to similar cases in San Jose, Sunnyvale, and Los Angeles, and suspect there may be higher-level organizers behind the scenes.
