Statement from the Secretariat of Iran's Supreme National Security Council:
The noble Iranian people must know that with the holy war of their children and their historic presence on the battlefield, the enemy has been begging for an end to the fierce firepower of Iran and resistance forces for over a month. However, due to the decision made by national officials from the beginning to continue the war until the goals were achieved - including making the enemy regret and despair, and eliminating the long-term threat to the country - all these requests were rejected, and the war continued until today, the 40th day. At the same time, Iran has repeatedly rejected the deadline proposed by the US President and emphasized that it does not care about any form of deadline set by the enemy.
Today, we bring good news to the great Iranian people: most of the goals of this war have been achieved, and your brave sons and daughters have forced the enemy into historic incompetence and permanent defeat. The historic decision made by Iran, which has received unanimous support from all its people, is to continue this battle as long as necessary until its significant achievements are consolidated and a new security and political landscape is established in the region based on recognizing the power and sovereignty of Iran and the resistance axis.
In this context, following the instructions of the respected Ayatollah Sayyid Mujtaba Khamenei (may Allah protect him), the leader of the Islamic Revolution, and with the approval of the Supreme Security Council of the country, and considering Iran's and the resistance axis's advantages on the battlefield, as well as the enemy's inability to fulfill their threats despite all their clamor, and having officially accepted all legitimate demands of the Iranian people, it has been decided to hold negotiations in Islamabad to finalize the details, and to consolidate Iran's victory on the battlefield politically through negotiations within a maximum of 15 days.
In this context, Iran, after rejecting all the proposals put forward by the enemy, formulated a 10 point plan and submitted it to the US through Pakistan, emphasizing several core points, including:
1. Orderly passage through the Strait of Hormuz in coordination with the Iranian armed forces will give Iran a unique economic and geopolitical status.
2. The war against all components of the resistance axis must end, which means a historic failure of Israel's physical aggression.
3. The US combat forces will withdraw from all bases and deployment points in the region.
4. Develop a safe passage agreement in the Strait of Hormuz to ensure that Iran exercises control in accordance with the agreement.
5. Pay full compensation to Iran based on the assessment.
6. Cancel all primary and secondary sanctions, as well as relevant resolutions of the Council and the Security Council.
7. Release all Iranian funds and assets frozen overseas.
Finally, incorporate all these provisions into a binding resolution of the United Nations Security Council. It is worth mentioning that once approved, this resolution will translate these understandings into binding international law and constitute an important diplomatic victory for the Iranian people.
The Pakistani Prime Minister has informed Iran that despite the apparent threats from the US, they have accepted these principles as the basis for negotiations and made concessions to the will of the Iranian people. Based on this, the highest level has decided that Iran will engage in two-week negotiations with the United States in Islamabad, and only based on these principles. And it is emphasized that this does not mean the end of the war, as Iran will only accept the end of the war after completing the specific details of these principles in the final negotiations.
Despite a complete lack of trust in the US, these negotiations will still begin on Friday, April 21st in Islamabad. Iran has set a two-week deadline for this, which can be extended if both parties agree. During this period, it is necessary to maintain complete national unity and continue to celebrate victory vigorously. These negotiations are at the national level and are also part of the continuation of the battlefield. It is necessary for the people, elites, and various political factions of the whole country to trust and support this process, which is supervised and promoted by revolutionary leaders and the highest level of the system, and to strongly avoid any divisive remarks.
If the enemy's surrender on the battlefield can be transformed into a decisive political outcome in negotiations, we will celebrate this great and historic victory together; Otherwise, we will continue to fight side by side until all the demands of the Iranian people are met. Our hands are always on the trigger, and any small mistake made by the enemy will receive a decisive and strong response.
