[Large-Scale Attack Reported on Major Saudi Petrochemical Industrial Facility] BlockBeats News, April 7 – In the early hours of April 7 local time, Iranian sources, citing unnamed informants, reported an explosion in the Jubail Industrial City in northeastern Saudi Arabia, an area involving U.S. capital, which was said to have been subjected to a large-scale attack. According to the report, Jubail Industrial City is one of the world's key petrochemical production bases, with an annual output of approximately 60 million tons of petrochemical products, accounting for 6% to 8% of global production. The area hosts numerous large petrochemical enterprises and projects, with Saudi Basic Industries Corporation being one of the primary investors in the industrial zone. Additionally, the Sadara project, involving participation from the U.S.-based Dow Chemical Company, and a joint investment project by Saudi Aramco and France's TotalEnergies, are also located within this industrial zone.
