Trump held a press conference regarding the rescue operation after the F-15 fighter jet was shot down.
First, the U.S. military admitted that during the rescue of the second crew member, they encountered close-range fire suppression. Some helicopters and transport aircraft were damaged, and even malfunctioning aircraft were forced to be left at the scene and destroyed by U.S. forces to prevent sensitive equipment from falling into Iranian hands.
Second, Trump stated that a total of 155 aircraft were deployed for this rescue operation, including 64 fighter jets, 48 tankers, and 13 rescue planes, highlighting that this was a high-profile, high-risk behind-enemy-lines rescue mission.
Third, the U.S. is investigating the source of the leak that first disclosed to the media that "the second crew member is still missing within Iranian territory." Trump publicly demanded the source be identified, arguing that such leaks could directly endanger personnel and operational security.
Fourth, Trump issued another stern warning during the conference, stating that if Iran fails to make concessions before the deadline, "the entire country of Iran could be wiped out overnight, and that night might just be tomorrow (Tuesday) night.
