According to data from MarineTraffic, transit activity in the Strait of Hormuz picked up over the weekend, with 10 vessels crossing on Saturday and 11 on Sunday.
Sanctioned vessels accounted for nearly half of the total transits on Sunday. Despite heightened geopolitical rhetoric, no confirmed attacks or incidents occurred during this period.
Although there's been a rebound, cargo volumes remain well below pre-war levels. Iran continues to dominate cargo access, selectively granting exemptions to certain countries while charging transit fees and tightening controls.
