The Power of Compounding 15% annualized return: doubles in 5 years, 8x in 15 years. 1 million turns into 8 million. Another 15 years, that's 64 million. For a 211 university graduate, as long as they can grasp the basics and save up 1 million as principal before turning 30, there's a high chance they can retire or live a full-time life by 50. Even with a 10% annualized return: doubles in 7 years, quadruples in 30 years. 1 million becomes 16 million after 30 years. That's already better than 99% of their peers from 985 universities. Don't buy a house for your kids. By 30, just give them 1 million and a book on value investing, like Buffett's complete works or Duan Yongping's collection. They'll live a great life.
